The Sources Calendar
When you are listed in Sources, one of the fringe benefits of membership is that you are entitled to post your upcoming events for free in the online Sources Calendar. TheSources Calendar is used by editors, producers, and journalists to find out about upcoming events, so it's a good way to make your events known to the media. Because www.sources.com is a highly ranked and very visible site on the Internet, listing your events in theSources Calendar also helps you to publicize them to the general public.
To post an event in the Sources Calendar, simply go to the Sources home page www.sources.com, and click onSources Calendar in the menu on the left. You'll be taken to the Calendar. Click on the ‘Add an Event’ button, enter your username and password, and fill out the form. Don't forget to ‘Save’ when you're done. If you've lost your username and password, just call the Sources office 416-964-7799 and we'll give it to you.
In addition to the free online calendar, we also publish a colour calendar in the January print issue of Sources. The print edition sits on the desks of thousands of journalists across Canada, so it's a good way to make sure that journalists are aware of your major annual events and causes. Annual meetings that are open to the media belong here, as well as public awareness campaigns such as National Non-Smoking Week, Heart Month, MS Awareness Month, Remembrance Day, are examples of events that are publicized through the print calendar.
Since the calendar in print edition costs money to publish, there is a small charge for being included. It's well worth the price. For details, please call 416-964-7799 or see the rate sheet and reservation form online at www.sources.com/Adinfo.htm.
